Odds & Ends: Defogging
Your Mirror: After cleaning your bathroom mirror,
smear shaving cream over the surface and wipe it off with a clean cloth.
This will prevent the mirror from fogging up from steam for several weeks
or until you clean it again. Removing Hairspray
from Your Mirror: Use rubbing alcohol to clean the mirror. This also
works well with sinks and chrome on faucets, but before using on wood
test an out of the way area to make sure it wont harm the finish.
Making Towels
More Absorbent: When laundering towels, don't use fabric softener
or dryer sheets. According to major linen manufacturers, fabric softener
residue can make your towels less absorbent. Add a 1/2-cup baking soda
to the wash cycle in place of fabric softener to keep towels smelling
fresh. Quick Crock-Pot Cleanup: Crock-pot dinners are great time savers during this busy time of year. Save even more time by lining your crock-pot with an oven bag. Absolutely no cleanup and if you have leftovers, its a great bag to store them in!
